Rep. Lance holds first town hall meeting of 2018
Immigration, border security, Russia, Robert Mueller's investigation and net neutrality were among other topics brought up by constituents of Republican Rep. Leonard Lance during his first in-person town hall meeting of 2018.
The meeting was held at Bridgewater Raritan Middle School Saturday.
The crowd -- smaller than last year's Mount Olive Township overflow -- was assertive and spoke out-of-turn occasionally, but there was no heckling.
Lance said he supports legalization for the so-called Dreamers, young people who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children. He also said he supports compelling the White House to enforce the Russia sanctions by legislation if need be and in somewhat of a surprise, favors abolishing the Electoral College.
Lance held five in-person town hall meetings in 2017.
His district is seen as competitive and six Democrats have signed up to challenge him in the fall.
