CAMDEN (AP) - Authorities have identified a toddler whose remains were found in a trash-strewn alleyway nearly three months ago.

Camden County authorities say 20-month-old Jah'vi Brown's identity was determined through testing done by state police. His death is considered suspicious and the cause hasn't been determined.

A passer-by found the remains in Camden on Oct. 11. Authorities believe the remains had been there for at least two weeks before they were found.

Authorities say the boy's father reported him missing Dec. 6, when he spoke with Bellmawr police regarding a custody dispute with the child's mother. Authorities say it's not clear why it took weeks for the child to be reported missing.

The child was last seen alive Aug. 20 in Bellmawr, where his mother lives. The alleyway where he was found is close to his father's Camden home.
