A Ramsey teen is recovering Thursday after he was stabbed during a fight with a burglar.
Doug Nemeth said when he came home from school for lunch Wednesday, he found a burglar in his kitchen.
?We kind of just looked at each other for two seconds, and I yelled at him and I ended up going at him, trying to stop him from robbing me,? Nemeth said.
Nemeth said he and the burglar engaged in a fight. The burglar then stabbed the teen in the back. Nemeth said he fell to the ground after he was stabbed and the burglar got away.
Police said Nemeth was bold, but they don?t recommend people confront intruders. Nemeth, who is nursing a small wound, said attacking the burglar was a bad idea.
Investigators are now trying to find the burglar. Anyone with information should call the Ramsey Police Department at (201) 327-2400.
