A new winner has been crowned in an annual ramen-eating contest.

Ani Ramen in Cranford held its sixth annual Ramen Noodle Eating Contest on Thursday.

Participants competed to see who could eat the most bowls of the Japanese noodles in a specific period of time.

Dan Kennedy was the winner. He ate 10 bowls in under five minutes.

The event was held as part of National Noodle Day.
