Rain rolls out of New Jersey, but will the warmth go, too?

Recent rain, melting snow and a thawing ground are still not enough to get New Jersey out of the serious drought.

Parts of New Jersey are still experiencing extreme drought conditions. We would need 16 to 18 inches of rain in three months to eradicate the serious dry conditions. So, while the weather pattern has been active this winter, we did not pick up nearly enough precipitation to help out.
Some very light shower activity was seen earlier today. It was more of a nuisance than anything else. This weak front will help swing the winds back to the northwest and allow some chillier weather to return later tonight into tomorrow.
Lows tonight will fade into the mid-30s. The winds could make it feel a touch cooler. Windy weather will take center billing on the weather marquee tomorrow Gusts up to 30 mph are possible. Temperatures will back down to the upper 40s and low 50s. Cooler than the last couple of days, but still above the seasonable average.
The weekend is filled with sunshine. Saturday is warmer than Sunday.
Sunday and Monday will be quite chilly for this time of year. Not record-breaking cold, but cold enough that daytime highs struggle to just get to the mid-30s - 46 is the norm.
