Temperatures today soared into the 60s. It was warmer away from the Sound than in the coastal areas.
This springtime phenomenon is due to the cooler water temperatures and winds that come onshore. After a cooldown and fog tonight, we will see a repeat performance tomorrow.
This beautiful weather won't last all week, however. Changes start on Wednesday. There will be more clouds around and maybe a passing shower. The bulk of the rain will slide through Connecticut on Thursday. Temperatures on Wednesday won't be quite as warm. They will begin their fall going into Thursday. More rain is likely later Friday, but this could end as a period of wet snow as temperatures drop even more.
