The weather this week is fairly simple. A broad area of fair weather anchored from the Great Lakes through northern New England will be the influencing factor over our forecast over the coming days.
The placement of this weather feature will steer smoke in the upper levels of the atmosphere through the region. Instead of summer blue, our skies will look hazier.
There are no storms to forecast this week. The weather pattern doesn't feature any significant rainmakers to appear either. Tropical Storm Dexter will not pose a threat to the East Coast, but could send some swell in our direction in the Wednesday/Thursday time frame. Waves in the surf zone will climb to 3 to 5 feet, but the bigger impact could be rip currents and undertows.
Just be more cautious at the shore by mid-week.
