New Jersey's royal rap star and actress Queen Latifah will host the 54th NAACP Image Awards Saturday night. Latifah, who was born in Newark and graduated from Irvington High School, is also nominated for an Image Award this year for her performance on "The Equalizer" that airs on CBS.

Also, 20-year-old Justin Ellen from Passaic and of "Everything Just Baked" appeared on the “Sherri” show. He was invited to be on the episode that aired Wednesday for Sherri Shepherd’s month long "Making Black History" series. At just 19, Mary J. Blige hired Ellen to bake her birthday cake at her star-studded 52nd birthday bash in January. Ellen also showed Shepherd some of his baking techniques.

Jordan, who is also from Newark, is bringing his Adonis “Creed” character to life as he teams up with Ring doorbell cameras to make pre-recorded messages. You can download Jordan’s responses and turn on "quick replies" to play anytime someone rings your bell. This is part of the promotion for Jordan’s newest movie “Creed III.” The 36-year-old directed and stars in the film that hits theaters March 3.
