Long Islanders will have a chance to give their final farewells to a New York hero on Wednesday.
Public visitation for FDNY firefighter William Moon II will begin at 2 p.m. at Chapey Funeral Home in East Islip.
A funeral will be held at St. Patrick's Church in Bay Shore on Thursday at 11 a.m.
The 47-year-old father of two died of a brain injury during a training accident at a Brooklyn fire house.
Moon, who also volunteered with the Islip Fire Department, saved five other lives through organ donations.
