The Essex County Prosecutor's Office says two men were killed in a single-car collision in Glen Ridge.
The crash happened Monday around 10:30 p.m. by the intersection of Bloomfield Avenue and High Street.
Miguel Flores, of Harrison, says his younger brother, a 25-year-old from Harrison, was killed in the crash.
"At the end, the policeman said we got some bad news for you guys," says Flores. "Your brother passed away. Right now, he's like the only one that protected me.  I'm the big one.  But he's always the one who protected me."
Another person sitting next to his brother was also killed in the crash.
According to officials, the crash ended in a small park-like area, taking down a light pole, a concrete slab and also hitting a tree in the process.
The circumstances of the crash are still unknown at this time.
