A utilities collector in Ocean County was charged with theft after investigators say she stole over $10,000 in tax, water and sewage payments.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office found that Jennifer Docherty failed to hand over the payments she collected in Tuckerton.
Docherty turned herself in and was let go on a summons. She is now on administrative leave, according to authorities.
