The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office has announced that a 17-year-old charged in the death of a homeless man last summer will be tried as an adult.
Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill Mayer says that 17-year-old Pennsville resident Tresjure Knight was charged with one count of first-degree murder, among other charges, in the death of 63-year-old Bobby Hill Jr.
Authorities say that Camden police responded to the 1100 block of Kaighn Ave. in Camden shortly after midnight on June 25 and found Hill suffering from multiple head injuries.
Hill later died at the hospital.
Police arrested Knight and a 15-year-old boy on June 30 and charged them with the crime. A 12-year-old, 13-year-old and 14-year-old were also charged with homicide in connection to the death on Nov. 24.
