Police have arrested a man accused of stabbing another man to death in Elizabeth earlier this week.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office says that Jose Luis Estevez Castillo, 21, is charged with first-degree murder and two related weapons offenses for the death of 39-year-old Jermaine Brockington on Nov. 25.
The prosecutor’s office says that Elizabeth police were called to the 100 block of Third Street around noon and found Brockington seriously injured. He was taken to the hospital but died a short time later.
Castillo was found and arrested later the day and charged with the crime.
He is being held at the Union County Jail pending a court appearance.
