The Warren County Prosecutor’s Office says that a Phillipsburg man uploaded and distributed child pornography using the social media platform Discord.

Authorities say that Discord reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a user on the platform was uploading images showing the sexual exploitation of children.

The NCMEC contacted the Warren County prosecutor, who determined that the images were uploaded by 31-year-old Michael Lovell-Agnelli.

“When the contents of Lovell-Angelli’s Discord account were reviewed, detectives discovered images of child sexual abuse material and evidence that these images were distributed to other users,” the prosecutor wrote in a statement.

Lovell-Angelli was charged with endangering the welfare of a child for distributing children pornography and endangering the welfare of a child for possession of children pornography.

He is being held at the Warren County Jail pending a detention hearing.
