yesterdayA North Carolina man was shot and killed inside a Jersey City smoke shop early Sunday morning, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities say that the shooting happened just after midnight at the shop located at 152 Danforth Ave. The victim was identified as 23-year-old Khalil King, of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
It was unclear what led to the shooting. Officials did not provide any description of a possible suspect.
Anyone who might have information about the incident is urged to the prosecutor’s office at 201-915-1345. Anonymous tips can be left on the county’s website.
