A man found dead on a hiking trail at the Eagle Rock Reservation on the West Orange-Montclair border was shot, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

A man found dead on a hiking trail at the Eagle Rock Reservation on the West Orange-Montclair border was shot, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Kelsey Steels, 31, was found on March 4 by several hikers. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Steels was a New York City resident, according to officials.
No arrests have been made, and no suspects have been identified.
