A day care worker from Camden County is facing charges for allegedly abusing two children.
The incidents allegedly happened on July 15 at Forever Young Childcare Learning Center on Chews Landing Road in Lindenwold.
According to the criminal complaint released by the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, 21-year-old Maggie Fruit placed a blanket over a 1-year-old child’s head and then laid on top of the child to obstruct the child’s airway. Officials say that the incident was captured on camera.
The child was taken to the hospital and released.
Fruit also allegedly abused another child 30 minutes prior to the previous incident.
Fruit apparently only worked at the center for the last two months.
She is facing attempted murder and child endangerment charges.
A detention hearing is scheduled for Friday.
