A former high school teacher has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a former student in Raritan Borough.

The Somerset County prosecutor says that Lydia Pinto, 38, had a sexual relationship with a student when that student was between the ages of 14 and 15 years old. This student is now an adult and says that the relationship continued until the student was a senior in high school.

Pinto was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and second-degree sexual assault. She was arrested on Nov. 8 without incident.
