A Perth Amboy man has been charged for the death of his 4-month-old daughter, the Middlesex County prosecutor says.

Radamez Santana, 22, is now being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center.

Authorities say that on Nov. 10, Perth Amboy police responded to a call for an infant not breathing. The child was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Officials determined that the child died from injuries that happened while she was being taken care of by her father.

Santana was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree murder.
