Two people were found dead in separate shootings in Newark just hours apart.
Prosecutors have confirmed the first shooting happened around 11 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of South Ninth Street and South Orange Avenue.
Rahman Branchwas was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning on the 400 block of Seventh Avenue.
Nathaniel Mickens was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incidents do not appear to be related.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of both shootings.
No arrests have been made.
