The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office says one man is dead and another was injured in a shooting in Freehold Borough early Saturday morning.

It says that police responded to multiple 911 calls in the area of 40 Jackson St. around 1 a.m.

Police say officers found one of the men dead, while the other was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.
