Sayreville police: Prescription medication found mixed in with Halloween candy
Sayreville police are asking parents to thoroughly check all of the Halloween candy their children received.
Authorities say they are investigating a report of prescription medication being distributed with Halloween candy. They say the child trick-or-treated in the area of Park Village.
A prescription clonazepam pill was found in a clear Ziplock-style bag with various pieces of “mixed candy,” authorities say. The clear bag has a candy corn design imprinted on it.
Police say to contact the police department at 732-727-4444 or call Detective Pascone at 732-525-5420 if you locate a similar bag or have any information.
