Powerful thunderstorms that crossed through the state Tuesday afternoon and evening caused some damaged and left many without power.
Those storms mostly impacted the northwestern area of the state, and even prompted the National Weather Service to issue a tornado warning.
The storms produced strong wind gusts, heavy rain and hail.
New Jersey’s utility companies reported several thousand customers had lost power at some point in the evening. A majority of the outages were restored by Tuesday night.
There were also numerous reports of down trees and power lines across parts of the state.
