Powerball fever is on again after no one hit the $900 million jackpot in Monday night's drawing. No ticket matched all white balls and red balls though there were some $1 million and $2 million winners.
Wednesday’s drawing will be the seventh highest lottery jackpot in U.S. history and the third largest for Powerball.
If someone is the lucky winner Wednesday, they could opt for a lump sum payment of $516.8 million before taxes. But the odds are against winning the lottery - one in 292.2 million.

What could you buy with a billion dollars?

  • A professional baseball team.
  • A few mega-yachts (at $275 million).
  • A large private jet.
  • A flight on SpaceX (for at least a few people in your family).
  • Fine art (For example, a Leonardo da Vinci painting can sell for $450 million).
  • More than $155 million 10-inch Hoagies from Wawa (a classic hoagie costs around $6.43).
The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday, July 19. The last time the jackpot grew above $1 billion was in November when it peaked at $2.04 billion.
