Power restored in Madison following Tuesday’s destructive storm
Madison residents have their power back once again after a storm tore through the state on Tuesday.
Madison has its own electric company and much of Wednesday was spent working on making repairs on Central Avenue where two utility poles had to be replaced.
The storm knocked down trees and created flooding and road closures in the city.
Mayor Bob Conley said that utility workers from Butler came to Madison to assist in the restoration. Damaged transformer had to be replaced.
Crews are expected to do more permanent work when the weather improves.
