New Jersey is set to receive a payout as Meta has agreed to pay nearly $20 billion to settle claims it got kids hooked on social media on purpose. It's half a billion as the payout is split between nearly all 50 states as they went after Facebook and Instagram. The state attorney general likens it to the big tobacco settlements of the 1990s.
