This week on Power & Politics – New Jersey is routinely recording new coronavirus cases of 3,000 or 4,000 people, and officials caution those numbers could go as high as 8,000 or even 10,000 per day without mitigation strategies. On the front lines of the second wave once again are registered nurses and healthcare professionals— 13,000 of them are members of the Health Professionals and Allied Employees union. Joining the show to discuss the impact of the increase of cases on health care workers is registered nurse and president of the Health Professionals and Allied Employees Debbie White.
In January, the United States will have its first female vice president. President-elect Joe Biden is also expected to name the first female secretaries of Defense and Treasury.
