The Port Authority is renovating one of the runways at Newark Liberty International Airport.

The $84 million project will repave the existing runway, which was the landing spot for half the airport's flights before the pandemic.

Electrical infrastructure will be replaced, and new lights added. Plus, some new signs will be installed.

The project should be finished next year.
