West Orange police say an officer was struck while riding his motorcycle on Saturday.

They say Chris Jacksic was headed to Verona to help with a 5K when a car in front of him made an illegal U-turn.

The impact sent Jacksic 20 feet into the air.

Officials say the officer is in stable condition Sunday morning.
