A suspicious man led to police stumbling across a prostitution ring at a Paramus hotel Saturday.
Officers say they were on patrol when they saw a man parked at a Holiday Inn trying to hide himself. Officers questioned Eliezer Itkin of East Rutherford and found three vials of crack cocaine. Police say Itkin told them he was there to meet a prostitute, but he was arrested. An officer posed as Itkin and he says two scantily clad women greeted him into a hotel room. Another officer was allegedly solicited in the parking lot. Suspected prostitutes Wei Zhau, Isabella Silva, Gabrill Dos Santos and alleged pimp Miguel Ventura-Cima were arrested. $3,500 was also confiscated.
Managers at the Holiday Inn say they were unaware of what was going on and maintain nothing like it has happened before.
