A high school student in Maplewood was hospitalized Tuesday as the result of an attack by students from another local high school, police say.
The assault happened at Columbia High School in the Maplewood-South Orange School District. The student was treated for their injuries and released.
Police say that there was no direct threat to Columbia High School or any other students. But officials say there will be extra police patrols in and around the school.
This is the same high school where the principal was
arrested last month for an alleged assault against a student.
