State police rescued four people stranded on a barge in Long Beach Township Friday afternoon.
They were called to High Bar Harbor just after 4 p.m. for a stranded vessel.
The barge couldn't get back to shore because of a blowout tide, which happens when water is blown away from the shore during low tide.
Police say the four people on board were starting to suffer from hypothermia.
They were treated at a hospital and released, News 12 is told.
