Police say a 24-year-old woman was killed inside her Rahway apartment Monday.

Authorities discovered Jennea Workman's body inside her home after Workman's boyfriend called 911 to report her missing. Police say there is some indication the person who bludgeoned, beat and stabbed Workman to death knew her because there was no sign of forced entry at the apartment.

Though investigators would not confirm their suspects, relatives say officers were questioning Workman's boyfriend and the building superintendent.

Family members, friends and neighbors set up a memorial for the 24-year-old woman outside her apartment. Workman's father, James, says his family is devastated.

"Please, this is a father whose heart has been broken that needs some answers," James Workman says.
