Police are investigating two robberies that happened hours apart in the Union County area Friday night.

Authorities say two men wearing dark clothes and baseball caps circled Max's Gas Station in Rahway before entering, drawing a gun and making off with almost $250 in cash. Hours later, a delivery man arriving home at around 11:30 p.m. was robbed at gunpoint by a group of men outside his Elizabeth Avenue home.

Police say these incidents are the most recent in a string of robberies in the area. They are unsure if any of the robberies are related.
