Police say a police cruiser collided with another car on the way to a call in Linden Saturday night.

The accident happened just after 10 p.m. at the intersection of E. Elizabeth Avenue and Bower Street.

Police say the officer collided with a Toyota Camry, and that both drivers were transported to Newark University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Union County Police Traffic Enforcement Unit.
