Police: Person robbed at gunpoint at New Brunswick Train Station

The robbery happened just after midnight on Friday. The victim was not hurt.

New Jersey Transit police are investigating an armed robbery at the New Brunswick Train Station.

Officials say it happened just after midnight on Friday on the westbound platform. They say the victim is affiliated with Rutgers University.

Police say two men approached the victim and robbed them at gunpoint. The victim was not physically hurt. The suspects ran away after the robbery. A description of them was not provided.

Anyone who might have information about the robbery is urged to call NJ Transit police at 973-768-9401.

The Rutgers University Police Department is warning students and staff to remain on alert while out and about and to report suspicious activity.
