Police in Westampton Township say up to 17 catalytic converters were stolen from school buses in the Burlington County Special Services School District.

Police in Westampton Township say up to 17 catalytic converters were stolen from school buses in the Burlington County Special Services School District.
According to police, three bus routes in total are affected.
Police say the cost to replace the converters will be between $2,000 and $3,000 just to get one bus back in service.
The town has seen about 100 catalytic converter thefts so far this year.
The thefts come amidst a nationwide busing shortage.
