Police in Middletown say a motorcycle rider was killed, and his passenger seriously injured, after colliding with a vehicle.

The accident happened Tuesday just before 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Thompson and Center avenues.

According to police, the motorcycle collided with a vehicle, killing the motorcycle rider.

Police say a passenger on the motorcycle was seriously injured.

The driver of the other vehicle remained on the scene.

The names of the persons involved are not being released at this time, pending notification to their families.
