Police: Man who prompted shelter-in-place at 4 school districts taken into custody

East Brunswick police say the search for a domestic violence suspect who prompted a shelter-in-place at four New Jersey school districts has ended.
Police say that 53-year-old Lee Nadeau Jr. was taken into custody just before 5 p.m. Wednesday. Details about the arrest were not provided.
East Brunswick police say that Nadeau was wanted in connection with domestic violence crimes Wednesday night and Thursday morning in Middlesex County. Police did not release details on these alleged crimes.
Nadeau was also allegedly involved in multiple police pursuits Thursday morning, driving what police say was a stolen car. That car was later found in East Brunswick near an Auto Zone on Route 18.
Prior to Nadeau’s capture, armed police officers from numerous police agencies were spotted near schools in East Brunswick, Spotswood, Milltown and South River. Students and faculty were kept inside.
