Police: Man stole several cellphones at gunpoint from T-Mobile store

Newark police are asking for the public’s help identifying a robbery suspect who stole several cellphones at gunpoint Friday from a T-Mobile store.

Newark police are asking for the public’s help identifying a robbery suspect who stole several cellphones at gunpoint Friday from a T-Mobile store.
According to police, the suspect, a Black male, entered the Metro PCS by T-Mobile store located in the 200 block of Springfield Avenue around 12:35 p.m.
Police say the man asked about purchasing iPhones. After a brief conversation with the store clerk, the suspect left and returned moments later brandishing a two handguns from a brown book bag.
Police say he escorted the clerk to a back room and stole several cellphones before fleeing northbound on Springfield Avenue.
The suspect is described as around 5'5" to 5'9" and 130 to 140 pounds. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood that had "Call of Duty Vanguard" printed on the front in white letters. He also was wearing black Adidas track pants with white vertical stripes along each pant leg.
