Police in Toms River say a man lost his arm in a motorcycle accident, and the missing limb hasn’t been located.
The crash happened Thursday around 12:45 a.m. on Route 37 at the Tunney Bridge.
According to police, reports from witnesses say multiple motorcycles were drag racing when Ronald Vanarsdale, 36, was ejected from his motorcycle.
Police say Vanarsdale’s right forearm and hand were severed just under the bicep.
Police were not able to find the missing limb.
Authorities say he is in stable condition at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Police are asking anyone who finds the forearm or hand to contact police at 732-349-0150.
There were no other injuries in the crash.
