Police: Man drowns in rough ocean off Brick shore

Police say a 54-year-old was in the ocean when he got caught in the rough water. Two surfers saw him struggling and tried to help.

A man drowned off the coast of Brick on Saturday afternoon.
Police say a 54-year-old was in the ocean when he got caught in the rough water. Two surfers saw him struggling and tried to help.
They got his head above the water but couldn't get him out of the ocean. The Coast Guard eventually pulled him out of the water.
First responders rushed him to the hospital and tried to revive him but couldn't.
His identity has not yet been publicly released.
