An East Orange man is accused of stealing a car from a mother with her infant son in a parking lot in Totowa.

Police say that the victim and her son were inside a Range Rover in the Abill Plaza parking lot on Sunday around 11:30 a.m. They say a black sedan pulled up and blocked the Range Rover from pulling out.

A man in a ski mask forced the mother and her baby out of the vehicle and drove off. A getaway driver took off in the black sedan.

Police say the victim was able to snap a photo of the suspects and posted it on Twitter. The mother and baby were not hurt.

Newark police spotted the Range Rover later that day and gave chase. The chase ended when the stolen Range Rover crashed. Desi Lee, 43, was taken into custody.

Lee faces multiple charges.
