Police: Lindenwold man charged for assaulting man in East Rutherford

A man from Lindenwold was charged with aggravated assault for allegedly attacking another man in East Rutherford.
Police say Ira Forbes is now in the Bergen County Jail in connection to the attack.
Detectives say Antonio Hernandez, of Cranford, approached a police officer at their Department of Public Works garage on Highland Cross. He was bleeding from the head and said he had been assaulted by an acquaintance.
Police later found Forbes in a wooded area. Officers say both men had been drinking.
