Law enforcement officials are conducting a manhunt for a prisoner who escaped from the state prison farm in Montgomery Township.
Convicted drug dealer Marc Harris, 22, disappeared more than 24 hours ago. Police say he ran off after getting into a tussle with a guard during his work detail.
Dozens of police officers are combing through the township in search of Harris. Ground, air and canine searches have all been employed in the pursuit.
According to police, this is the first escape from the farm in more than a decade.
The prison farm, which is minimum security, is located in the Skillman section of Montgomery Township. A number of Harris sightings have been reported in the area near Route 518, close to the farm.
Harris was sentenced to prison in August for distributing controlled substances on school property. According to the Department of Corrections, Harris was eligible for parole on May 15.
