Police are investigating what they call a suspicious death in Asbury Park.

A spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office confirmed with News 12 New Jersey that a 57-year-old man was found dead Wednesday morning inside the Dr. Robinson Towers, at 1000 Third Ave.

Asbury Park police responded to a 911 call just after 11 a.m. 

When police arrived, they found the victim lying in a stairwell of the building.

The circumstances surrounding the death have not been released.
