The driver of a dump truck is recovering after sustaining injuries in a crash on Route 36.

The driver of a dump truck is recovering after sustaining injuries in a crash on Route 36.
Middletown police say the crash happened around 9 a.m. near Palmer and Thompson avenues in the North Middletown section of time.
Police say that the driver was towing a trailer with equipment and somehow lost control and crashed into the utility pole, knocking down wires across the north and southbound lanes.
Route 36 was closed in the area for a time while the crash was cleared away. The lanes have since reopened.
The driver was taken to Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Details about the driver’s injuries were not available.
