A teen driver involved in a fatal Fort Lee crash was drunk behind the wheel, according to investigators.

Authorities say 18-year-old Nicholas Vucci was drunk while driving an SUV with six other teens inside. Witnesses told police Vucci was speeding when his car flipped over into a yard on Anderson Avenue and slammed into a telephone pole.

One of the passengers, 15-year-old Alex Conlon, was killed in the crash. Another passenger, Robert Martini, is listed in serious condition at Hackensack University Medical Center. The other four passengers were not seriously hurt.

Vucci suffered minor injuries in the crash. He is now facing several charges, including DWI and vehicular homicide.
