A driver was arrested on the Thruway in Yonkers after registering a blood alcohol content of 0.25%, more than three times the legal limit.
State police say Gerardo Salguero-Galvez was stopped by troopers after witnesses reported seeing the vehicle driving erratically.
According to state police, Salguero-Galvez appeared to be consuming alcohol while driving, and troopers observed indicators of intoxication, including open alcohol in the vehicle. Due to his high level of intoxication, troopers were unable to perform standardized field sobriety tests.
Salguero-Galvez is set to appear in Yonkers City Court on May 30.
