A predawn manhunt involving police, K-9 units and helicopters in Somerset County resulted in the arrest of three individuals from the Washington D.C. and Maryland area.

The incident began around 2 a.m. Monday with a report of a burglary in progress at a local business.

Police say officers attempted to stop the suspects who were in a stolen car, but they fled, crashed and attempting to escape on foot.

A search effort ensued, and police successfully tracked down the suspects, recovering stolen items in the process.

The three suspects face multiple charges, including burglary and criminal mischief.
